Comment by John Leckie for the 2004 CD Re-Issue: “Seasons is probably the coolest record I have produced. Considering it was recorded in a cellar on primitive 8-track equipment, this remastered CD sounds fantastic!”
After 12 years of non-stop rock’n’roll and two years of intense work in Pipe Studios, Morgan needed a long break and went to Poona. Returning to England Veetdharm lived for a while in Medina Rajneesh, and decided to record his next album there. He did not forget his roots and go completely new age, in fact this album was made as a dedication to the music he grew up on in the 60's, and he sings most of the songs, with a high expressive voice reminiscent of Robert Wyatt. Ex-British Lions and Medicine Head vocalist John Fiddler also sings two tracks. “Seasons” was produced and mixed by another member of the Medina commune, renowned rock maestro John Leckie, who had produced hits by XTC, Human League, Bebop DeLuxe, Simple Minds, and Public Image, and went on to further fame with his productions of Stone Roses, The Fall, Radiohead, Kula Shaker, Spiritualized, Dr. John and Los Lobos (to name a few!). Most of the songs are seminal hits from the 60's by such names as Traffic, The Zombies, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, and The Sorrows. The arrangements feature an interesting blend of world music and exotica - musical concepts which had hardly entered the public consciousness at the time. A fascinating blend of Afro/Latin percussion, folk, ethnic instruments and analog synths shows the album to be one that was well ahead of its time.
